Formatting Large External HDD's To FAT32
I have a 1TB external HDD that I'd like to hook up (via it's USB cable) to my Xbox 360.
Problem is, the drive is NTFS and the 360 requires the drive to be FAT32.
Inside of Windows (7) I can see options to format the drive but the only options are
NTFS and exFAT.
I used a CMD prompt to format the drive but eventually (after several hours) the prompt
told me that the drive was too big for FAT32.
Is anyone aware of any programs (that aren't made by Symnatec) that can assist?
EDIT: Found this:
Seems to work fine. Surprised at how fast it was.

Was gonna suggest you could bung in a Linux live CD and run gparted. But surprising that Windows 7 doesn't even offer FAT32 anymore; I'm pretty sure for keypens that's the default file system if you want the drive to be readily readable across platforms!

I briefly considered this but I found an Official VERBATIM program and went with that.
If that wouldn't have worked I would have went for formatting it using my sisters MAC.

fwiw your xbox would have read exFAT. I have a removable hard drive which uses that and it's happy as Larry with it.
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

I DID try it but it simply insisted the drive was empty. (It could SEE the drive though!)
But now I've stuck loadsa movies etc on the external drive and the 360 is using it fine and dandy.
Good old VERBATIM and their 2 meg applications.
